Deout Palestine completes specialized training to enhance the skills of using artificial intelligence in newsrooms.

Deout completed a two-day training for 62 Palestinian journalists entitled "Skills of Artificial Intelligence in Newsrooms", which was implemented in cooperation with the "Women in News" program of the International Organization for Publishing and News Makers (WAN-IFRA), and was carried out over two days in Ramallah Allah, on 29-30 July 2024.
In addition to the beneficiaries of the program, media professionals working in various local media institutions (Palestine TV, Wafa News Agency, Watan News Agency, Ma'an News Agency, and others...) received a wide presence of independent journalists, newsroom workers, editors, and designers.
Deout, which works in the field of consulting, training, and innovative solutions, provides skills training for the uses of artificial intelligence in newsrooms as a specialized training designed to cover the exploratory aspect of the knowledge framework of modern developments of artificial intelligence tools, its uses in newsrooms, as well as the professional application framework for the use of generative intelligence models (for language, voice and video).
It is one of the unique and specialized training programs and deout deliberately covers part of its training programs in the fields of modern media and the artificial intelligence revolution, through which it seeks to train journalists working in the field of news industry on the skills of using generative intelligence tools, which would make a difference in their practical skill in terms of speed of performance and high standards of quality.
On the other hand, Deout seeks through its partnership with such development programs with international institutions in Palestine and the world to bridge the emerging gap between workers in the media sector, public relations and modern tools of artificial intelligence.

She added that the partnership with DEOUT is distinctive, and this was evident in enabling our beneficiaries in the program to use some artificial intelligence tools, by developing their use skills, which will make a difference in their careers and make them more in line with development, and concluded such programs are really important to bridge the gender gap in media work on the one hand, and reduce the fears emanating from artificial intelligence tools and their threat to the opportunities of workers in different sectors.
Ramez Jaber, one of Deout's founders and head trainer, described the training as "one of the practical steps taken by the company in the framework of defining itself in the Palestinian and international market as a leading company in the field of consulting and training in the media sector. The training was like breaking the barrier, as it was getting to know closely some of the uses of artificial intelligence in the newsrooms, the training was based on a practical application of the use of tools, which made it a smooth and enjoyable experience, the training was also a unique opportunity and experience... I will definitely use an AI tool to help me perform parts of my daily work, and I thank the trainers for their great effort."
